EDAP is an education ERP platform developed and operated by DigiCop Solutions. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect from institutions, staff, parents, and students who use EDAP, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using EDAP, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information in the following ways:

• Institution & account data — names, contact details, roles, and login credentials for administrators, teachers, students, and parents provisioned by your institution.
• Academic & administrative data — records entered into the platform, such as admissions, attendance, examinations, fee and finance records, and communications sent through the system.
• Usage data — pages visited, features used, device and browser information, and approximate location, collected automatically to help us maintain and improve the service.
• Cookies & similar technologies — used to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and understand how the platform is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the EDAP platform for your institution;
• Process admissions, attendance, examinations, fee, and other academic records you enter;
• Communicate with you about your account, updates, and support requests;
• Monitor, secure, and improve the reliability and performance of the platform;
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use.

3. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell personal data. Information entered into EDAP belongs to your institution and is shared only:

• Within your own institution, according to the roles and permissions your administrators set;
• With service providers who help us operate the platform (e.g. hosting and infrastructure providers), under confidentiality obligations;
• When required by law, regulation, or a valid legal process;
• With your consent, or at your institution's direction.

4. Data Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures — including encrypted connections, access controls, and regular backups — to protect the data stored in EDAP. No system is completely secure, and we encourage institutions to use strong passwords and manage user access carefully.

5. Data Retention

We retain institutional and academic data for as long as your institution's account remains active, or as needed to comply with legal, accounting, or reporting obligations. An institution may request deletion of its data by contacting us, subject to any records we are required to keep by law.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your role and applicable law, you may have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of personal data held about you. Requests from students and parents are generally handled through your institution's administrator, since they control the underlying records; you may also contact us directly using the details below.

7. Children's Privacy

EDAP is used by educational institutions to manage student records, including those of minors, on the institution's behalf and under its supervision. We do not knowingly collect data directly from children outside of this institutional context.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. We will post the updated version on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
